Beauty does not only comes with contoured cheekbones, winged eyeliner or thickening mousse or concealers, but from within. ‘You are what you eat’, right? Our beauty is linked with the food we intake. So what you bring to your dining table and eat, is more important than what foundation you are using on your face. The condition or health of every other organ has an effect on our appearance. So if you are not protecting your skin from inside damage what is the point of spending on the expensive cosmetic products. As you need to protect your skin from sun by using sunscreen you also need healthy food to maintain healthy skin from within.

Our skin gets damaged by taking stress, hormonal shifts, weather conditions and unhealthy food. Junk food is the worst type of food for our health and appearance. Flawless and beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within, healthy diet is a must to have a strong, supple and blemish free skin. Healthy food will help repair the damages caused to our skin, maintain and enhance it. It will help your skin look smoother and younger than your age. Foods like soy beans help your skin to stay free from wrinkles, because everybody hates them.

Fruits and vegetables if consumed regularly help you achieve a healthy glow. This glow is more attractive than the glow by sunbathes or tanners or highlighters. You can get a healthy glow by intake of carrots, pumpkins, red peppers, sweet potatoes, green leafy vegetables.

Puffiness of eyes is another big deal, it suits on just nobody. Sometimes our faces also swell because of excess salt intake, bloating and dehydrating. To avoid the puffy eyes, you must have a regular intake of potassium. It is found in bananas, sweet potatoes, avocadoes and cooked lentils.  You should avoid potassium supplements to balance your diet, it may cause other health issues like irregular heartbeat.

Age spot are more linked to the damage caused by sun rays than the impacts of age. Even if you have been applying sun screen but these brown blemishes did not leave you alone. Your skin’s natural SPF can be boosted by red and pink colored foods. Such foods are tomatoes, red peppers, watermelon and pink grapefruit etc. Intake of cooked tomatoes and red peppers etc. is beneficial in the same way.

Acne is the most common skin problems in almost all ages. High glycemic food is one of the major reasons for the acne. It is because of zinc deficiency. Red meat, oysters, lentils, pumpkin seeds are rich sources for zinc. Overdose of zinc supplements can be toxic, so you should avoid them.

You bones can be kept strong by the intake of high-calcium, vitamin K2 and magnesium sources like, low-fat yogurt, milk, soy milk, chicken, cheese, almonds, spinach and other leafy vegetables.

Weight gain changes our whole appearance, so we must witch to healthy eating and avoid junk food and soda beverages. Green tea is the most recommended beverage for improving your skin, boosts weight loss and helps reducing blood pressure. It is also helpful in preventing skin cancer. Tomatoes are a great source for antioxidants, it helps slow down the damage of cells.

Drink almost 7-8 glasses of water every day. Skin needs moisture, otherwise it will look dried and tired. Make healthy changes to your diet. Following them regularly will definitely make a beautiful healthy difference in you.
