Coconut oil is said to be one of the healthiest substances on this planet. We use it for almost everything. Coconut oil is great for skin. It’s a quick, easy and a gentle way to remove make-up. It leaves skin feeling clean and nourished. It can remove your base, eye makeup and lipstick smoothly. Take a teaspoon of the oil, warm it in your hands to transform it into a liquid and gently massage it into your face and neck.

 

  • As a cleanser

 

Coconut oil is an effective natural conditioner. Its natural antioxidant properties make it great for stopping wrinkles and skin irritation. We know women with oily and acne-prone skin are concerned about applying oils to their face. But coconut oil has antibacterial qualities. It helps in an effective way to treat and balance acne-prone skin. Such sensitive skin cannot work well with aggressive foaming cleansers that can worsen the condition of your skin. You can massage coconut oil on your dried skin and then remove with hot water.

Coconut oil is an effective natural moisturizer. You can create a body butter with coconut oil. Take 3 tablespoon of coconut oil, add three tablespoon of Shea butter to it. Mix it with 3 tbsps. of cocoa butter, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 10 to 15 drops of lavender. Mix all ingredients and heat them mildly. It will appear as a thick whipped cream, add any essential oils and whip again. You can preserve your body butter in a sanitized container.

  • As a body scrub

You can make a natural scrub for your body with coconut oil. Gently melt four tablespoon of coconut oil. Add 2 tablespoons of coconut milk, 3 tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix them thoroughly to the point all ingredients are well blended into each other. Then massage this scrub on your body and take a shower afterwards. This coconut oil, natural scrub will effectively buff away dead-skin cells to help you achieve a gorgeous glow.

  • As a scalp treatment

If you have a dry, itchy scalp, coconut oil can help. It moisturizes skin and helps reduce irritation. It fights dandruff and infections. For an oil scalp treatment, put 3 to 5 tablespoons of coconut oil in a small bowl. The amount of oil you should use depends on the length of your hair. Melt the oil, and then let it cool down for a while. Massage it on your scalp and roots of your hair. Let the oil soak in for couple of hours and then shampoo as usual.

Coconut oil is deep conditioner for your hair. It protects your hair from losing protein during washing. It contains vitamin E that is essential for healthy strong hair. Warm solid coconut oil to liquefy and add a couple of drops of sandalwood and rose essential oils. Apply to damp hair, combing through to distribute, before wrapping in a hot towel or shower cap and leaving to penetrate for an hour. You can also leave the remedy on overnight for an intensely hydrating treatment. Rinse, shampoo twice and condition as usual. It gives your hair a healthy and natural shine.
